Puchero is one of the national dishes of the Canary Islands and is prepared as a feast for a larger party. It is accompanied by gofio, a solid porridge made from roasted grain. Since the ingredients for it are not available in our country, white bread or polenta is eaten with puchero.

Chickpeas and soup meat covered with water at medium temperature closed make half an hour, skim. Add pork, spices and 1 tsp salt. Cover and make another half hour at low temperature.
