Mix cornflakes, shredded coconut, rolled oats, dried fruit and skim milk powder in a large baking bowl. Stir in sugar, honey, butter and peanut butter until melted and pour over dry ingredients form. Mix quickly and spread a scant inch high on a greased cookie sheet. Chill in the refrigerator and cut into bars.

This recipe can be easily modified: instead of coconut you can also use finely chopped sunflower seeds or nuts, vary the dried fruit (apricots, raisins, apples) as desired, instead of cornflakes use other leftover Rice or breakfast cereal Krispies. The bars are an energy-rich snack for in between, on trips, picnics etc.
