For the kale mash, wash the kale thoroughly and chop very finely. Peel and wash the potatoes and cut into cubes. Peel and finely chop the onions and garlic.

Put potato cubes and the kale in a pot and add enough vegetable soup. Bring everything to a boil and cook for about 25 minutes until done.

In the meantime, saute the onions and garlic clove in a little butter. When the potatoes and kale are done, drain the soup.

Add the onions and garlic to the kale and mash coarsely, do not blend. Add a stick of butter and some warm milk and stir well. Season the kale mash with salt, pepper and nutmeg.
