Rinse the kale thoroughly, remove the hard stalks and chop coarsely. Peel onions and chop into rings. Dice bacon. Brown in hot lard at low temperature. Remove bacon cubes. Steam kale and onion slices in drippings. Add bacon cubes and meat broth. Steam in closed saucepan for 35 minutes. Add whipping cream and let it bubble up. Add mashed potato powder. Season the broth with salt and pepper.
