Instructions:

Wash, peel and slice the potatoes. Also peel the onion and cut into cubes.

Now heat butter in a pot and sauté the onion cubes until translucent. Add coriander, cumin and mace and sauté. Pour in water, add soup cubes, Lorber leaf and bring to a boil.

Add the potato slices to the soup and simmer for 15-20 minutes until the potatoes are cooked but still have bite. Towards the end of the cooking time, keep checking to make sure the potatoes are not falling apart!

Remove the bay leaf and mace and sprinkle the bouillon potatoes with chopped parsley and serve.

Preparation Tip:

Bouillon potatoes go wonderfully with boiled beef, but also with roast pork.
