For the onion bread, mix all ingredients into a smooth dough. Let the dough rise for about 1 hour.
Shape into a loaf (or bake in loaf pan) and score the top. Let rise again a bit (about 20-30 minutes). Brush with milk or egg.
Bake the onion bread in the oven at 200°C degrees for 40 minutes.
Preparation Tip:
The onion bread tastes best with just butter and perhaps lightly salted.
