For the Pao de Queijo, put milk and water in a pot. Add oil and salt and bring to a boil.

Put the tapioca flour in a bowl and pour the hot milk in several stages – stirring in between. Stir well and add the eggs one by one. Now add the grated cheese.

Line a baking tray with baking paper. Use a tablespoon to make dumplings out of the dough and form them into balls with floured hands. Place them on the baking paper, spacing them apart.

Bake the Pao de Queijo in the preheated oven at 180 °C for about 25 minutes – they should be crispy on the outside and still soft on the inside.

Preparation Tip:

You can also use other cheese blends for the Pao de Queijo, including mozzarella and Emmental.
