Instructions:

First, prepare the dough. To do this, mix all the ingredients for the dough. Leave to rest for 20 minutes.

In the meantime, prepare the filling. To do this, peel and core the apples, cut into thin strips and mix with the remaining ingredients for the filling.

Roll out the dough on work surface to a rectangle 70 by 50 cm. The dough should be transparent.

Start on the longer side, leaving 3 cm free on the shorter sides. Spread the filling evenly on top. Fold any leftover edges of the dough onto the filling.

Roll up the dough from the longer side, starting with the filling, pressing well together at the ends. Place the roll in a horseshoe shape, on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Heat butter and honey, brush the dough with it.

Bake in the preheated oven at 180 to 200 °C for 50 to 60 minutes. While baking, brush the apple strudel with the remaining honey butter.

Preparation Tip:

Instead of one large apple strudel, you can also form two small strudels.
